It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

In 2025, we are proud to introduce Jerks Caribbean Grill, a fast-casual concept developed by Executive Chef and Restaurateur, Robert Gayle. With a unique blend of his Caribbean heritage and refined culinary expertise, Chef Rob brings together global influences to create a menu that reimagines island comfort food with sophistication and flair.

Chef Rob’s culinary journey began when he relocated from Jamaica to the United States as a teenager. His passion for the culinary arts was sparked during his early years as a steward in Brooklyn, NY, which led him to pursue formal training at The Culinary Institute of America, where he graduated in 1993. Chef Rob's growing expertise and reputation soon earned him the opportunity to contribute to the opening of Justin’s Restaurants in New York & Atlanta. After his success at Justin’s, Chef Rob established his own restaurant, Chef Rob’s Caribbean Cafe, in 2006. The restaurant quickly became an Atlanta staple, known for its signature dishes such as Braised Beef Oxtails, Ackee and Saltfish, Jerk Chicken, Curried Goat, & Jerk Pasta.

A key to Chef Rob’s continued success has been the involvement of his family in the development and growth of his ventures. Their collective effort in building Jerks Caribbean Grill has been integral to the concept's success. From menu development to day-to-day operations, Chef Rob’s family has played a critical role in ensuring that the restaurant not only honors his culinary legacy but also exemplifies the warmth and authenticity of Caribbean culture. Their collaboration ensures that Jerks Caribbean Grill reflects a shared vision of expanding Jamaican cuisine into new dining experiences while remaining rooted in tradition.

In addition to the restaurant established in 2006, Chef Rob further expanded his brand with an Upscale Lounge & a Caribbean food truck, further solidifying his place within the culinary landscape. In 2023, Chef Rob consolidated his various business ventures and adopted a “less is more” approach, streamlining operations in anticipation of future growth.

With the debut of Jerks Caribbean Grill in 2025, Chef Rob & his family are proud to launch a fast-casual dining experience that redefines Caribbean cuisine for a new generation. The concept builds on Chef Rob’s signature flavors, offering an elevated yet approachable dining experience that celebrates the vibrancy, authenticity, and rich cultural heritage of Jamaica.
